ADHD Diagnosis

  • Assessment includes the initial consultation, intake package and assessment forms for yourself, your child's teacher and your child if they are able to complete it on their own, two appointments with a Diagnostic Expert and a comprehensive report.

  • During the consultation, we will discuss your concerns, the Wonderwork process and ensure we are a good fit for your family. The free consultation is a great opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the assessment process!

  • To make an accurate assessment it is important for us to get as much insight into your child’s behaviour as possible. This includes getting to know what concerns are present at school. If your child is not in school, you can also share this part of the package with a daycare or other caregiver regularly present in the child’s life. If you wish to send the teacher package to someone other than a teacher, let your Care Partner know and they can help you choose the right person.

  • This is very common! Sometimes kids will act differently depending on who they are with, where they are or what they are doing. If anyone has concerns about their behaviour an assessment is an important next step. This way if they do have a condition affecting their behaviour you can get them the help and support they need to thrive long-term.

To progress through the first phase and graduate in the second phase we look for skill proficiency, meaning you have learned, practiced and have been able to generalize these skills across all areas of life. We recommend the 12-16-week program so you can get the most out of your treatment, but it is important to know that PCIT is a time-unlimited treatment meaning we are here for as long as you need us

When you graduate from the program you will still have full access to the Wonderwork community and a 3-month check-in call with your care partner to see how you are doing.
